grequently asked questions

What if my child starts lessons and decides to stop after a few months?

You're under no obligation to complete the program for the school year.  If for some reason you and your child decide to stop involvement in the band program, we'll pro-rate the tuition and you won't pay for lessons you don't receive.  That being said, the vast majority of kids that start the program not only finish the year but play in the Spring Concert. An experience that is thrilling and gratifying to all involved.  As well, if there are any questions / concerns during the year, feel free to call.  We always encourage communication with parents and teachers.

What's the best instrument for my child to play?

Our many years of experience show that children will succeed with the instrument that they are most excited about.  While they're might be concerns about physical attributes etc., they're usually quite minor relative to their motivation.  That motivation comes from the original interest for a specific instrument.

Do children miss regular class time to attend lessons?

The short answer is yes.  Our schools use rotating schedules, so that the children don't miss the same block of time each week. An example might be, if your child attends his / her lesson at 9:00am on a given Mon., the following Mon. would be 9:30am, the next week 10:00am, etc.
