Joe began his teaching career in 1978 as a private music instructor. After graduating from the Crane School of Music in 1982, where he obtained his BM in Music Education, he became an instructor in the Syracuse public school system. Both situations afforded him the opportunity to teach a wide range of pupils: from elementary students to professional, working musicians.

In addition to Joe's considerable teaching talents, he is also a renowned musician. He is a featured performer with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and the Central New York Jazz Orchestra and has worked with such artists as Natalie Cole, Johnny Mathis and Andy Williams.  He is also an instructor at Onondaga Community College, an active musician and continues to teach privately.

 

John Rohde John Rohde

John received his BM in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam in 1984. For the next five years, he worked as a music educator in the Syracuse City Schools. In 1992, in an effort to broaden his abilities as both a teacher and a performer, John moved to New York City to attended Queens College where he received an MA in Music Performance. While in New York, he worked as an instructor and supervisor for Paul Effman School Music Service, the largest provider of Catholic school music programs in the New York City Metropolitan area. His responsibilities included program development, lesson scheduling, monitoring instructors and their teaching techniques.

John is also a gifted performer. His credits include the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, the Central New York Jazz Orchestra and a variety of touring shows including Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra Jr., Don Rickles, etc. and local groups.  He is also an instructor the Syracuse City Schools and a working musician.
